Whew!
The last couple of weeks have been fantastic with family home to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. I’ve never regretted marrying John in 1980. He’s always been such a blessing to me and our children.

Another highlight was attending the CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger in Ohio on Saturday, July 30-Sunday, July 31, as vendors.
John & I attended the show at the invitation of Jay Wertz of Monroe Publications. Beginning in 2022, this company has purchased bulk amounts of my books from me to sell on their website.
Jay flew from his home in Florida to rent a covered booth, tables, chairs. John & I helped him with the booth and book sales.
Besides my books for sale, we had Jay’s books. He has interviewed hundreds of World War II veterans from around the world and written about them in well-documented detail in hard-back and paperback He also had high-quality graphic novels about Pearl Harbor and other World War II events, DVDs, T-shirts.
Officials estimated 50,000 people joined us at the show which took place at the Dayton Airport.
to sell my books and others focused on American history, particularly World War II.

It was my first time as a vendor at this large of an event.

Weather was in the low 80s and some clouds rolled in but not enough to keep the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and other performers from filling the skies with amazing acts that displayed their flying expertise.
The Blue Angels showed off their new F/A-18 Super Hornets for the first show in four years. I’m glad I’m not their mothers!
I have posted a very short video of their flying at my Youtube Channel.

We sold dozens of books. My new women’s book – Born To Be Soldiers: Those Plucky Women of World War II — was the most popular of my titles.

One young gal was delighted to find the story of her great-grandfather, Max Graf of Fort Wayne IN, in my book ‘They Did It for Honor: Stories of American WWII Veterans.’
In addition, I handed every person who came to the booth a business card and said that I was available as an experienced speaker for virtual patriotic talks. My talk about women I’ve interviewed who served in the US Army, Navy, Coast Guard and Women’s Air Service Pilots is especially popular.
We came home pretty wiped out, but John & I agreed we would do it again.
It was totally worth the energy, prep and effort to talk to people interested in patriotism and our amazing veterans.
Have you been to an air show? What was your favorite part?
Thanks to all of our vets for their service! We appreciate it.
You are blessed with so much energy! Hurrah!
I admit, it took a lot out of me. But it’s a joy. Thanks for your support.
I facilitate a Lunch n learn for OLLI in Prescott, AZ and wonder if you would like to give a talk on the experiences of servicemen that you have interviewed?
Sure send me your email address and we’ll talk.
