‘Voices From Vietnam: Stories of War’ Releases

My first book of Vietnam War veteran stories has just released!

Voices From Vietnam: Stories of War‘ is available on Amazon.

Voices from Vietnam: Stories of War is a compilation of 18 stories from male veterans, including those who fought in the Tet Offensive, served as a tunnel rat, flew a damaged chopper carrying wounded soldiers, and a Navy corpsman on an aircraft carrier.

Voices from Vietnam: Stories of War includes stories from veterans whom I interviewed who served in the Army, Marines, Air Force, and Navy.

After writing 11 books on World War II veterans, this is my first venture into a different war.

This change of focus is the result of people, both military and civilian, asking for a book about the Vietnam War.

One thing that makes these vets stand out is that they were the last veterans to go to war, due to the draft, which was done away with in 1973.

Can you believe the US has gone nearly 50 years (it will be 50 in 2023) since having a military draft?

It also addresses the trauma and impact these particular veterans faced when returning home. Most didn’t come home to a parade or the words: ‘Welcome.’

Some encountered people who believed they should not have served. Loved ones didn’t understand the desire of some to choose to return to Vietnam for an extension of service.

These vets were loyal to the country’s military needs by enlisting or showing up after being drafted. They deserved better treatment than being spit on and called horrendous names.

Hopefully this book will heal some of those wounds that might still fester.

Samuel L. Davis who was a Medal of Honor recipient during Vietnam, wrote the foreword for ‘Voices From Vietnam: Stories of War.’

It was such a privilege to include a foreword to the book by Hoosier Vietnam War veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Sammy L. Davis.

We are hosting two book launch events which the public is encouraged to attend. Put it on your calendar now to attend one – or both!

I will be there to sign books. Veterans from the book will be present to sign copies:
