Happy 4th of July!
This day means so much to the American public. It is the day we celebrate our country’s freedoms – and they are many! I learn to appreciate them more each year.

These photos came to me courtesy of World War II veteran Mark Flanagan. It always reminds me of how all of our freedoms are courtesy of our veterans of all eras.

We could not go anywhere, work where we want, choose an occupation, marry whom we want, worship at the place of our choosing and make many other choices without the vets who fought for these and other freedoms.
Mark Flanagan’s story is told in my book We Gave Our Best: American WWII Veterans Tell Their Stories.
Some countries today still do not offer those freedoms.
Let us not forget what we have been given and let us work together to make sure they will always be part of our nation’s backbone.
Thanks to our veterans for their service!
Thanks always for your support. God bless.
